Yay?????

So WNL is in like 5 days, and I am so excited. Then on Facebook yesterday, I found out that the Pastor of my church wants us to perform the WHOLE thing on a Sunday morning. Yeah, if you haven't realized yet, 2 other girls and myself have to use Guitar hero guitars, and jam out to a hard-core version of the Veggie-Tales theme song. yeah, I'm not so excited about that part, or having to get up @ 6 that day so I can get 2 church by 8. yay...
I am really nervous... lol. I don't even know why. I mean, I know almost everyone @ my church, so whats 2 b afraid of? U tell me.

I <3 music. I am actually listening to some now, (of course it is hawk nelson) but music is like candy. all you have to do is through out the rappers! ha ha I am so funny! Music can send so many messages to people.
Messages can be good and bad, like God is amazing vs. have sex. I mean, there are so many messages being send.

I used to be into the whole, "I'm so sad" kind of thing, which brought my attitude down. Now I listen to "I'm so happy" (go to autumns blog, and you will c)

Cancelled???

So WNL is tonight, hopefully. If you read my sister's blog, you can see that we put so much effort into making it perfect, and praying for everything, and now there are a few inches of snow outside. On the other hand, if it does get cancelled, one of my friends can go. So I am kind of on the line right now.
I have had so much fun planning this. Friendships get stronger, and so many other things, and to see it go down the drain in a way, is depressing. So many people might not come tonight if it isn't cancelled, and so many people couldn't come if it was next week. I am so torn right now!

So please pray that everything runs smoothly and that God's will will be done. :D

Winter Jam!!!!!

So Winter Jam was last night, and it was AMAZING!!!!! Hawk Nelson is awesome, and tobymac was coolio, the Afters are pretty sweet.
It got so cold! Right before we got in, it started hailing! It hurt, and made you even colder! We got to stay in the van 1/2 the afternoon, so that helped us thaw out :]. I will try to post some pics as soon as I download the software and then download the pictures, and then make a new post... So hopefully by 2morrow I will have a few pics :]

Prayer

Okay, so I know I have already blogged today, but this is so cool. So like I said, I am home today by myself. I was really bored, so I turned on some "Desperation Band", which btw, have some great music. So I turn them on, and I beging praying out loud. If you know me, I usually don't do that, I'm actually kind of quiet. I prayed for Wednesday Night Live, friends, family, everyone in the youth group, Pastor Marc & Leah Beth, Jamie & Tasha Kemp. The list goes on.

Missions?

So I'm home "sick" today, and I am all by myself, all day. I am so bored, so why not blog? I really have nothing super profound to say though. Hmm. Oh, so my youth group is going on the 2009 Mission Trip this summer. It's where we travel, and help people in need, and teach them about God too. I am really excited because it feels like for about 1 year now, God has been telling me that my calling is to be a missionary. I think the mission trip would be a great place to see if I have it in me to be a missionary. I have seriously been thinking about it for a long time now, ever since Jamie and Tasha Kemp came (missionaries to Indonesia) when they came to my youth group to tell us about missions. That was in Febuary 08. Ever since then, God has been telling me that it's what I'm supposed to be doing with my life.

So, yeah, I do kind of want to be a missionary, but first I have to be growing spiritually.

BFF'S

Church friends are awesome. I <3 it when a church friend texts me because we can just talk, and not have to worry about who is dating who.
The term BFF'S means Best Friends Forever. That is so true when it comes to church friends, because you will meet them in heaven and truly bff's. The youth outreach "Wednesday Nite Live" is only in 10 days! It seems like it was yesterday that we started planning it! Wow. The process is really fun. Hanging out with bff's, laughing, and creating ways to further Gods kingdom. Hopefully, the night will be so much better. I totally know it will be!

It's kind of like getting to Heaven. The process, living on earth and following God with passion, then the reward, Heaven. You know it will be better, but you haven't experienced anything like it before! This totally just came 2 me. lol.

Just some simple thoughts :)

Randomness

So today it is freezing, so my parents decided to let me and my siblings stay home for the day, even thought school isn't cancelled. All I've been thinking about is Wednesday Nite Live. It is in 13 days, and so many things are coming together. I've really been praying for this event that God would show himself to all the students.
Last night we had practice for a few of the skits, and it was so much fun. The process is just amazing, hopefully the night will be even better.
This is totally random, but have you ever been reading the bible, and see a verse or two that are in a song? I love it when that happens! I have no idea why, but I have always wondered where musicians get these great lyrics from. Obviously the bible duh. On my old blog, I posted a poem that I wrote.

All of these things describe something, but what?
I ask myself, what one thing could possess all five things?
I ponder this, waiting for something to come to mind.
Nothing.
Thats what came to my mind, there is nothing these five words could explain.
I looked around, finding my bible.
I saw it.
There was actually something these five words could describe.
No, it wasnt the bible, nor the words inside, but the picture baring the front.
A symbol of forgiveness, freedom, love, hope, and life.
Who knew a five letter word could explain so much?
This thing could not just hold these meanings, but it showed a story.
A story of trial, everlasting life, and a fathers love for his children.
What did I see?
I saw the cross.

As you can see, I really don't have a title. I can't call it "The Cross" which was it's origonal name, but as my sister pointed out, that gives away the ending. So please give me some ideas for a title :)

Speak out

Being a christian in today's world is hard. Constantly facing persecution, struggles about what is right and wrong. There are so many people who are so outspoken at my school, and don't care about what other people think of them, and they can embarrass themselves all day. Unfortunately, I am totally not one of those people. I really wish I could be, but today I had to give a 2 min. presentation in science, and I started shaking and stuttering. The thing is, I can get in front of 100 people and perform a play, but I can't come up with my own words in class.
As Christian's, we let people fill our mouths with words, and we really don't care, just like in a play. But we can't come up with our own words for situations. If we can't make our own words, what can we do? If you can't go and tell someone about your faith, what can you really accomplish?
My point is, speak up, be the person that God wants you to be, not who your peers want you to be.

The Battle Is Won In Prayer

Praying is something that we all benefit from. My youth pastor always says the battle is won in prayer. That is so true! If you ask anyone who has ever had a miracle done, or something like that, 99.9999999% of people will tell you that they prayed about it.
Something that I really have been praying for is the outreach "Wednesday Nite Live" that my youth group is hosting. We haven't really ever done something like this on this level before. I am really excited because I already have a few friends who are interested in coming.
My big prayer is that people who aren't connected to anyone in the group come. I mean, that is the whole point of it. So please keep this in your prayers!

Witnessing... it's not easy...

Okay, so something that I feel very passionate about is witnessing. It's a tool that we all can use.
Last nite, my youth pastor gave everyone some cards to hand out 2 people, about a youth outreach. I gave one to one of my best friends right before class was about to start, and we were talking about what it was, and what it's all about. (apparently, it's really funny that I am playing a girl version of Kevin Jonas, I am now "Kevine Jonas")
Whenever we sat down, this guy who we are both friends with, asked me what it was, and I proceeded to tell him. He seemed really interested, that we started writing notes to each other during class. I told him that on Monday, I would give him a card too.
Now, this guy isnt one that you would call "spiritual". He constantly cusses, jumps from girl-to-girl. I was totally surprised! I mean, i didn't have to write notes, or any of that.
Witnessing is a very important part of being a Christian, it just doesn't help the ones who we are witnessing to, but it helps yourself.
